IN JANUARY, 1999, JOHN-VALVE WAS AWARD THE QUALITY SYSTEM ISO-9001 Certificate AND ACCREDIATED BY "TUV/RHEINLAND". THE CERTIFICATE NO. 01 100 89839. REGISTERED IN "BERLIN-BRANDENBURG, GERMANY.

In its determination to produce valves of the highest quality and specification, John-Valve prides itself on its attention to innovation and meeting and exceeding customers' requirements. This is achieved right from design to production by a combination of extensive experience and adherence to ISO procedures and standards, assisted by Computer Aided Design. (AutoCAD and Solid Works)

Research and Development

John-Valve has its own Investment Casting Foundry (Certified by AD-TRD-100/W0) which produces high quality castings using the lost wax process. It is equipped with 8 sets of Injection Machines all with the capacity to cast items up to 6" (150 mm) flange diameter or to a component net weight of 30 kg. The chemical analys is continually checked before each pour to ensure complete conformity to the material specification. The highly efficient operation allows batch firing every 20 minutes leading to a fast, well organized production line of high quality castings.
The Casting Foundry

The factory has its own modern machining facilities which include a Machine Center and 9 CNC Lathe Machines. A two Shifts/day system gives a high output and allows machining of special and custom parts for a variety of customers and markets. Component manufacture for other manufacturers is also offered.

The Ball Machine Shop

John-Valve has 4 complete sets ball machines dedicated to machining stainless steel valve balls to serve both the Company's own production and to supply overseas valve manufacturers. These are produced to very exact tolerances in accordance with customer's drawings and dimensions.

Testing

The assembly section is equipped with 7 Air/ Hydrostatic Testing Machines and 6 Automatic Valve Assembly machines. Every valve is given an 100% air-pressure test to 6 Bar (100 psig) and a further random 3% are subjected to a hydrostatic test (x 1.5).

Training and Education

Every Team Leader and Member of Staff has successfully completed the ISO-9001 Quality Assurance Program. In-house training sessions are carried out on a regular basis to ensure that the best practices and the highest standards are maintained.

Life Test

Quality controls are an integral part of the John-Valve production process and checks are carried throughout
manufacturing.

Analysis of the chemical composition of the molten alloy is carried out using a Spark Spectrometer.
After casting and the subsequent heat treatment, further testing is conducted using Metallurgical Micro-Structural Analysis.

Additional tests of the tensile and impact strength along with the surface hardness of the material are carriedand out using calibrated equipment and X-Ray inspection. Constant visual inspection by the
trained operators helps to ensure very high quality standards are maintained.
