Please read through the following information carefully in order to prevent potential hazards:

A. Potential hazards are considered during product design to prevent them from occurring:
1. Anti-static device is installed on the stem in order to eliminate the hazards from static electricity and potential sparks that might result the risk of fire.
2. Stems are designed to be blow-out proof in order to prevent the loosening of stem when exceeding the maximum pressure.
3. Pressure relief holes are drilled on the stainless steel balls to prevent overpressure of the cavity.
4. Stopper device to make sure the ball valve is either 'on' or 'off'. This is to prevent the pipeline system from being shut-off or turn-on incompletely.
5. Locking device is equipped to prevent unauthorized personnel from misusing the ball valve.

B. Appropriate design of ball valve are applied against hazards which cannot be eliminated:
1. For reducing the risk of leakage of dangerous fluids, caused by external fire, API-607 approved ball valve is recommended for use. This type of ball valve is certified and approved by TUV/Rheinland and is designed to withstand high temperature.
2. For reducing the risk of fugitive emission of dangerous fluids, TA-Luft designed ball valve is recommended for use. This type of ball valve is designed according to TA-Luft requirement by adding two Viton O-rings to the stem.
3. For ball valves of larger sizes, gearbox or actuator is recommended for operation of the product. This is to prevent possible harmful effects that might occur when user operates a ball valve with high torque values.
4. John Valve's casting foundry is approved by TUV/Rheinland for PED MM and PED Module D1. In addition, our material report is examined and reviewed by Quality Assurance Department.
5. PT examination is used to check for cracks, pinholes, and any surface defects on the castings of John Valve.
6. No leakage is detected at the stem area of JV-9301N 1.4408 PN63 on TFM1600 after turning 20,000 cycles on the Life-Cycle Test Machine.

C. We as valve manufacturer will provide the following information and limitation in order to reduce risks at the time of installation and operation:
1. Application of valves depends on fluid, temperature, pressure, and corrosion allowance, and users can refer to the catalogue for suitable working conditions.
2. For possible fluid attack, please download the Fluid List (Chemical Resistance Table) from our website for more information.
3. John Valve's ball valves are designed and manufactured for standard application in petrochemical industry, refinery industry, chemical industry, and food industry. Therefore, it is advised that users should always utilize the valves under normal conditions.
4. For vacuum application, please use MSR (Metal Seat Ring) to prevent the displacement of seats. As for steam application, we strongly advise to use 25% Glassfiber Reinforced PTEF for better end-use.
5. It is advised that customers will read through our catalogue before placing a purchasing order. It will be our responsibilities to answer any questions our customers might have.

WARNING: All ball valves produced by John Valve are meant to be utilized within the temperature and pressure specified in the catalogue and on the nameplate. Exceeding these conditions is considered as misuse on our products and can lead to serious defects and hazards. In addition, only the recommended fluid according to Chemical Resistance Table should be used to prevent high corrosion rates.
