This Specification of API-6D 21st edition, March 31, 1994 was formulated by the American Petroleum Institution Production Department Committee on Standarization of Valves (Gate, Plug, Ball, and Check Valves).

Valve Class: Valve Covered by this specification shall be furnished in the following classes:

- Class 150, 300, 400, 600, 900, 1500, 2500

Note: The class designations above are the same as the rating designations for ANSI B16.5, and therefore indicate the applicable connecting flanges.

Ratings applicable to the following valves:

a. Standard Flanged-End and Standard Weld-End Valves

b. Alternate Flanged-End Valves

c. Alternate Weld-End Valves
